OneWoodberry 2026: The Shoulders We Stand On
On Thursday, February 26, we look forward to celebrating OneWoodberry around the world and across campus throughout the day. This year, we reflect on The Shoulders We Stand On – the idea that every Tiger reaches higher because he stands on the shoulders of those who came before him. Join us as we celebrate the alumni, faculty, staff, and other mentors who laid the foundation, and the boys who carry the torch forward today.
Mark your calendar for a day of storytelling, tributes, glimpses into campus life, and a celebration of the Amici Fund and all it makes possible. Please note gifts made now count just the same as gifts on OneWoodberry. You can give anytime between now and midnight on February 26 to have your gift counted toward OneWoodberry 2026.
Who Impacted You? Whether you graduated last year or fifty years ago, your experience is living proof of Woodberry’s impact in shaping young men of character. We invite you to share a story about a fellow Woodberry student, an alumnus, or a faculty member who influenced your life — and the lessons that still stay with you today. What is OneWoodberry?
- OneWoodberry is the school's yearly celebration where the global Woodberry community comes together to promote and support the people and programs that The Amici Fund enhances and brings to life.
- OneWoodberry is both an on-campus and off-campus event typically held each year in February.
- OneWoodberry originated as Tiger Day, then March Matchness, followed by a Week for Woodberry, and then officially began as OneWoodberry in 2017.

Thank You for Supporting OneWoodberryIt was a phenomenal day with alumni, parents, grandparents, students, staff, faculty, and friends banding together to celebrate OneWoodberry 2025! We hope you enjoyed looking in on the OneWoodberry celebrations on campus and seeing our students in action during the live programming.OneWoodberry extended far beyond campus – we received gifts from 47 states and at least 12 countries. It was heartwarming to see so many Tigers at our nine regional events across the country, reconnecting with friends and cheering on the success of the day.OneWoodberry's giving totals exceeded our goals in both total amount raised and number of donors. We deeply appreciate everyone who joined in the day – whether you contributed, attended an event, encouraged a friend to give, or followed along with the live broadcasts from WFSPN. The success of the day is a testament to the strength, commitment to our mission, generosity, and dedication of our community.

Thank You for Your Support of OneWoodberryOn Thursday, February 22, 2024, the entire Woodberry community— students, alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, and staff — united for OneWoodberry to celebrate all that makes Tiger Nation so special. Tigers from all over the world participated in a series of programs and activities, many of which were hosted by Woodberry boys, including classes, athletic events, club meetings, new construction tours, career networking interviews, and alumni/parent product spotlights. -

OneWoodberry 2023 Recap
Thank you for making OneWoodberry 2023 an incredible day. By the end of February 23 we had received 3,314 gifts to the Amici Fund totaling $2,861,906. In the two weeks since February 23, we’ve received dozens of additional gifts, bringing total contributions so far to this year’s Amici Fund to $3,231,205. This year's fund will continue to receive gifts until June 30.It was wonderful to see so many of you gather at events around the country, and to welcome alumni volunteers to campus, including Lee Dudley ’18 and Will Wallace ’18. A special thank you to Richard Upchurch ’92 for visiting with the Robotics Team, Zach King ’02 for speaking to the Caucus and the Entrepreneurship Club, and to Andrew Woodin ’04 for meeting with students, participating in a virtual young alumni networking session with Charlton deSaussure ’04 and Trevor Slaven ’04, and then speaking at our Friday morning assembly about The Road to Galena, a feature film he produced with support from several of his classmates.Your gifts provide immediate funding for every aspect of the Woodberry experience — tuition assistance to current students, paying for the programs that make Woodberry unique, and sustaining the school’s incredible faculty and staff. OneWoodberry and the Amici Fund are instrumental in meeting the goals of the Campaign for the Boys, with a particular focus on supporting the experience of boys here now.If you weren’t able to tune in live during OneWoodberry, particular highlights included a performance by The Dozen, a visit to Jim Reid’s Biology class, and a hot sauce competition at lunch. We’re grateful to Edmund McIlhenny '63; Smith Anderson ’77; John Gillespie ’85 (father of Kav Gillespie ’14) and Scott Gillespie ’91 (father of Fletcher Gillespie ’23, Charlie Gillespie ’26, and Sam Gillespie ’26); Webb Milward ’99; Zach King ’02; and Ames Russell, father of Sam Russell ’12, for contributing their sauces for our brave student, faculty, staff, and alumni taste testers.

OneWoodberry 2022
Recap
OneWoodberry 2022 was one for the record books. We accomplished our goals of collecting gifts from 3500 donors and raising 3 Million Dollars from the Tiger nation. We ended up with 3,582 donors and $3,441,617 raised which was a record amount for a OneWoodberry Campaign.
Tiger RoarLynn Bache put so much spirit into the day as she dressed not only herself, but the entire Fir Tree with a Tiger/Woodberry theme. She capped it off with a peppy cheer and a clever roar, and for that, it was hard not to call her the best in show. Honorable mention to Will Fletcher ’06 and his adorable family for their creativity and to Ned Leahy for his accuracy in replicating an actual Tiger’s roar.Show Your StripesThomas Hall ’98 of Richmond dressed to impress with his striped suit. He literally showed his stripes. Honorable mention to Jamie Alexander and Woodberry’s own Chris Holmes.Reese’s Pieces Guess JarThomas Perry ’24 of Charlotte pulled the Archimedes Circle Theorem straight from Matthew Keating’s class to claim victory.The correct amount of Reese’s Pieces in the jar was 4,094. Thomas’s guess of 4,127 was the closest of everyone who played! Reid Hood ’22 earned second place with his guess of 4,200, and Pen Oldham received third place with his guess of 4,218.Thanks to everyone again for showing such enthusiastic Tiger spirit. And thank you to the entire community for all the spirit and support you showed for our school. -
