Woodberry’s technology offerings are designed to support students and faculty in all aspects of their lives on campus. Technology is interwoven into our classes and our campus. One of the great things about Woodberry is that the technology team exists to support elements of the academic, artistic, and athletic programs. If a teacher or student wants to try something new, the technology team stands ready to help.
Woodberry, a top private boys boarding school near Washington, DC, offers a wide range of software, databases, and devices to advance the educational program, ranging from advanced CAD software and 3-D printers for engineering classes to special computers equipped with Ableton and Logic Pro for our electronic music initiative. Our list of special programmatic offerings is extensive and varies from year to year based on the needs of students and faculty.
High-speed wireless internet is available for community members throughout campus. Dorms are equipped with both wireless and ethernet connections, as well as dedicated printers. Students can also take advantage of public computers in the library and several academic buildings.
Learning the right way to use technology is just as important as learning how to use technology. We believe the honor system extends into the digital world and that students should never misrepresent themselves or their identity online. We want boys to embrace technology to advance their interests while remembering always that it must be used respectfully and responsibly. Used well, technology amplifies the power of a Woodberry education.

Woodberry's Technology Department helps students prepare for a digital world. The department is charged with making sure boys and faculty have the technological tools they need for in person classes. Because Woodberry is a boarding school in the Mid Atlantic, the technology team also handles the tech needs of the dormitories and faculty residences.
