  Catherine Wharton is Woodberry’s assistant headmaster for external affairs, overseeing all development operations. She joined the faculty in 2007.  A graduate of Roanoke College, she has worked in development at the University of Virginia, Hollins University, and Garrison Forest School. Ms. Wharton and her children, Talfourd ’15, Wyant ’17, and Emma, live in Charlottesville.

  Eliza Broaddus serves Woodberry as the director of donor relations. She has worked most recently at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy as the associate director of development. She brings a wealth of experience from her time spent in the development community over the last ten years at the University of Virginia. Eliza has also served as the director of communications and assistant director of alumnae affairs at Oldfields School in Glencoe, Maryland. Ms. Broaddus holds a BA in English and creative writing from Hollins University. She resides in Charlottesville, Virginia.

  Bio

  William Browning '82 is Woodberry’s assistant director of the Amici Fund and Alumni Relations. William earned a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a JD from Washington and Lee University. His career before coming to Woodberry in 2013 included practicing law and serving as director of development and public affairs at the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum in Staunton, Virginia. Mr. Browning and his wife, Barbara Wimble, live in Orange.

  Bio

  Dodie Chavez '85 joined the Woodberry faculty in 2012 and serves as associate director of development.  He earned a BA from Hampden-Sydney College and worked for more than two decades in sales, marketing, and customer service at Potomac Supply Corporation, a family-owned lumber supplier in Kinsale, Virginia. Mr. Chavez and his wife, Stacey, live in Charlottesville with their two children. Dodie is the father of Teddy Chavez '23.

  Will Fletcher '06 received his BA degree from Roanoke College and a MEd from Vanderbilt University in Independent School Leadership. Most recently Will served as the director of enrollment management at St. Martin's Episcopal School in Metairie, LA.  Prior to St. Martin's, Will served as the assistant director of admission at McCallie in Chattanooga, TN.  Will joins the development team as a capital gifts officer. He and his wife, Casey and their two children live in Orange, VA.

  Bio

  Matt Hastings is Woodberry's director of parent engagement, a role he's held since 2019. Before joining the faculty he spent twenty-five years in the financial industry, including a decade as the principal of two commodities trading funds that he founded. Matt is also an assistant coach for the varsity lacrosse team. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Virginia. Matt and his wife, Sarah-Hamlin Hastings, an artist and designer, make their home in Charleston, South Carolina. The Hastings are the parents of four sons, including Jack '20 and Henry '24.

  Bio

  Kristina Jones serves as director of operations in the Alumni and Development Office. She began her position in July 2019 after serving for three years in the office in other roles. Before joining the Woodberry faculty she was a member of the  Marine Corps community service program, including work with the Marine Corps Marathon. Mrs. Jones holds a bachelors degree in marketing and sports management from Lynchburg College. She and her husband, Brad, who serves as an athletic trainer at Woodberry, live in the Dairyman's Cottage.

  Bill Robertson is director of the Amici Fund and alumni relations, a role he previously held from 2006 to 2010. He is a graduate of The Hill School and Duke University. After his first stint at Woodberry, Mr. Robertson served as director of alumni relations at Hill, where he launched a new career networking program for alumni. He most recently helped produce Shaking Through, a recording and documentary series about creative self-expression through Weathervane Music, a non-profit he helped co-found with a fellow Hill classmate. Mr. Robertson and his wife, Tracy, have two children and live in the Upper Dick Gym Apartment.
