Summary
In the opening round game, the Tigers jumped out to a 21–11 lead and followed with a 17–5 run to defeat Volunteer High School. Woodberry held the Falcons to 29% from the field, 19% from three-point range, and forced 19 turnovers. The Tigers shot 56% from the field, scored 34 points in transition, and outscored Volunteer, 54–22, in the paint.
